What can I believe and are we protected like other countries?

1.)  Do I believe it is ok to go to war with IRAN?
     Why do I believe it is ok?   I have heard the former leaders of Iran say, “Death to Americans”.   For many years I have heard about Iran trying to develop an atomic bomb.  Both of these items are not good.  Do I like the idea of war?    No!  Do I want a bomb created by Iran to come to the US.  No!
     President Trump, after talking with many people, decided the current risk was too great to ignore Iran’s threats.  This seemed to be especially true considering Iran has helped a lot of terrible people to hurt others
     Growing up I seemed to be bothered by people I considered bullies.  To a degree I was too weak to defend or stand up for myself.  President Trump, at times, seems to come across as a bully.  I do not always like everything President Trump does.  Some things, however, I feel are well thought out and help many people.
      The war with Iran seems to be something that will help millions. Paying one dollar more, at this time, for a gallon of gas is not great either. I am willing to try to do so, if it helps.   It does not seem like President Trump is a bully for protecting our country, and others, from a very bad person guilty of murder.    
     Do I have concerns?  Yes!  I am concerned for President Trump.  He has to be number 1 on many bad guys hit lists.  I cannot even begin to imagine the safety concerns in place to protect him.  All of the bad people, that came into our country when the borders were allowed to be open, are countless.  That is bad.  The thing is bad people already came to our country and still come into our country.  For people not to believe or understand this is sad.
     I do not want to see innocent people die.  The challenge with war is that bad things will sometimes happen.  I have no idea whether some stories are true or not.  I just know that sometimes bad and unintentional things happen.     
      When someone openly threatens millions, sometimes that has to be addressed.  I believe many people understood how bad Hitler was before WW2 started.  If someone would have addressed Hitler before the war, millions would have lived. That seems to be the case with Iran’s leaders. 
Lord, please watch over President Trump and our country and the world.

     This was written over one week ago.  So many things have been in the news in one week.
What are other counties saying and doing.  What does President Trump hear and know that we do not?  President Trump has to be under a special protection that the general public has no idea about.  If we can take out leaders of other countries one can be sure there are those who consider taking out our president as fair game.  We do not hear about all of the threats.  How dangerous is it to be in an airplane as President?  What kind of protection is needed every time the president is in a plane?
     Tonight I watched stories on 60 Minutes about drones.  It is both amazing and scarry.  With AI the amount of change is faster every hour.  The amount of protection needed for protecting the President and our country must be almost unimaginable. 
B.)  A few items to possibly consider today:
     1.)  In today’s world should we have all of our national congress people meet in a few rooms or one room in Washington DC.   Even with all of our protection, it only takes one bomb, or special germ,  to get through the system and wipe out 550 congressmen/women.   What special protection will be needed on July 4^th , this year,  or days before and after?
       With what we have done, while taking out bad leaders in other countries, one must believe that this is on someone’s list to try with us.    Does this thought show weakness?  I do not believe so….  It shows concern and respect for AI and the borders being open for several years and the concern for others still crossing our borders.  Also, so many  cities are on our coast and what could come from the seas?
     Maybe we should split the Senate in two sections and the House into 4 sections for meetings.  With current technology they can listen to each other as well as get to hear each other talk during their meetings.  They can hear each other as well as I hear some of their meetings in my home.  I am guessing that many meetings may be attended from their individual offices.  They may also wish to have their offices in different buildings or complete meetings form their individual states.
     Voting can be done and checked online.  A special system can be developed for this voting.  I am sure this situation has been discussed.  Why wait for something to happen.  If I can think of this terrible thing, then I am sure others, including congress, have already thought of it. 

2.)  Never shut our country down by freezing funds to pay for people that keep our county operational and protected.  To stop special people from working at the airport is like taking your eyes out and trying to do your job.  To order them to go to work with no pay is like saying take your eyes out and walk to work.
     All congressmen/women should run on a ticket that says they will not stop government pay to workers unless they stop their own pay also.  That includes all pay for their workers.  I believe some have already suggested this.  Imagine what it would be like asking your employees to come to work for weeks without pay.  I am saying that if you shut any government worker pay down you would shut down pay to any government employee that works for the congressmen/women. 
     This would be hard for many congress people even if many are millionaires.  It would be really hard on others.  It would be hard on their staff.   If they each have 30 to 50 workers complaining about hardships, I believe their minds would change quickly.   I would be willing to vote for someone that ran on this as one of their issues.  I am hoping we can address this issue with a new law.
      When I vote for someone, it is like hiring them. If they complete their work, I pay them.   If they are not doing their work, I would have to let them go.  I am guessing, to do their work takes money.  Congress should not get to play with the money for government workers.  This kind of situation puts those unemployed, and all of us, at risk.
     Why are we, as a country, willing to elect people that would put our country in this terrible situation?   

3.)  We hear about all of the protection from missiles and drones in other countrifies, especially in Israel and Ukraine.   Do we have that kind of protection in place in the US?  I am guessing/hoping we do; however, I never hear about it.   
     I live on the border of two counties with 500,000 people in each county.  I live in the middle of 1 million people.  Am I protected? 
     There are 35 to 40 US cities with over 500,000 people.  9 of thee have over 1 million people.  All of these cities should have special protection in place.  Also, each state capital should have special protection in place. 
     There are over 100 cities with over 250,000 people.  Again, this number rises if one uses city plus suburbs to reach 250,000.  There are over 340 US cities with over 100,000 people.  We are spending billions on a war….Have we spent billions on protecting our cities?

    4.)  The electrical system, in the US, should have special protection along with the fuel system and communications systems.  All of these systems keep the US operational.  If I am thinking about these items, I am sure the bad guys are and I am sure the  government is.  I have just not heard about what is in place.
      Our families and businesses would be at a loss if there was no electricity as well as fuel and phones.  I am not sure how some of these countries are continuing life without those items if they have been destroyed.
     We have had major storms that cause damage to these systems and sometimes they shut down areas for weeks.  What if these items were destroyed across the US?  What plans do we have or can we put them in place to counter these possible situations?  Are we already doing things?  If so, what?  We are spending billions on a war that seems necessary.  Are we spending that same kind of money at home?  How many of our protective items are shut down when we have money being withheld for different reasons?
     1, 2, 3 and 4…..Just some questions and items that seem kind of important, to think about and address, today?  Hopefully all of these issues are being addressed before I share this paper.
      My goal is to contact my US and state senators and representatives about these items in the next four weeks.  If you do not know the answers to these items, maybe you can find some time to contact your senators and representatives about these items also?
